Neon + Stripes

Thursday, June 6, 2013

Dress: LOFT; Heels: Target; Watch: Michael Kors; Bangles: Alex & Ani

Nothing like a pop of neon to really bring an outfit to life. Sure, this dress is cute on its own. But by adding a totally unexpected (and somewhat flashy) element, a basic outfit is instantly transformed into something SO much better. What can I say, I'm an 80s baby! Love me some neon!

Thank you again to Jordan for snapping these pics!

I'm off to Cali tomorrow for a brief vacation. If you have any recommendations for the Napa area, let me know!

Winter Layers

Monday, January 28, 2013

Faux Fur Vest: BB Dakota; Blazer: Zara (old); Striped Blouse: Zara (recent); Jeans: 7FAM; Heels: Zara (on sale now!); Sunnies: Chloe

It's almost February and that means I've reached my threshold of winter weather. If the snow and cold only lasted from December 1-January 31, I'd be a happy girl. Then why did I choose to move to Boston, of all places? I ask myself the same question every day. I'm so sick of wearing a bulky, Michelin Man-style coat every single day and have been desperate for ways to look cute in the cold all the while staying warm. The answer? Layers, my friends. Lots of 'em.

A special thanks to Erica for snapping these pics!

Happy Monday everyone, hope you have a great day!

Summer Days

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

With all the craziness that surrounds each of us on a daily basis, it's important to remember how to unplug yourself once in a while. I escaped to NH on Sunday to literally do nothing other than bask in the warm summer sun and cool off in the pool. It was a welcome break from city living and working. After a few hours of no phone and a nap, I was recharged enough to battle my last week at work.

That's right, in less than two weeks I will be starting a new, very exciting job at Rue La La! Bye bye finance, helloooooo fashion! I'm psyched to be working towards my dreams. More on that later!

Dress: ASOS; Belt: J.Crew; Hat: American Eagle

When disconnecting yourself from the world, it's important to also take a step back from constricting clothing and opt for breathable and flowy pieces. I did just that with this super comfy midi dress. I had been on the hunt for the perfect navy and white striped dress for a while now and I'm so glad I waited. This one is perfect!

Happy Tuesday loves!
