Crop Top: Zara; Textured Skirt: Topshop; Heels: Fendi via RueLaLa; Necklace: Chanel; Lipstick: MAC Snob

Yay for warmer weather and the ability to FINALLY wear the skirt that's been sitting in my closet for months now. I love that the black and white trend is still big right now because it's been my go-to color combo for as long as I have been able to dress myself. The full skirt/crop top duo is flattering on so many different body types -- who said you need abs to rock it?

Crop Top: American Apparel; Skirt: Topshop; Heels: Miu Miu; Clutch: Vintage Dior (Borrowed from my fabulous friend Adriana); Necklace: Forever21; Rings: Stella & Dot, Etsy

Soooo it's my birthday. My last year of being in my 20s. I didn't think this would bother me but as I sit here typing this I can't help but feel a bit... old. The hangovers are worse, I can't eat what I want any longer, and my knee hurts when it rains. What gives?! But on the flip side I'm more confident than ever, have a career that I love and have finally figured out that it's not the quantity of people you surround yourself with, but more the quality. I'm thankful for all that this year has brought me and I can't wait to see what the next one has in store. PS learn from me and don't wear a crop top out for your birthday dinner. It's really hard to hide a full tummy that way.

Rebecca Minkoff Spring/Summer '13

Monday, September 17, 2012

If you're a frequent reader of L's Fashion Dish, or even a twitter or instagram follower, you're well aware of my obsession with all things Rebecca Minkoff. So when Bloglovin' announced that they would be partnering with RM to give away a $1500 shopping spree at www.RebeccaMinkoff.com, I hopped to it and chose my three favorite looks from her recent NYFW presentation. And what I am dying to have in my closet for spring/summer 2013.
Narrowing it down to the above three looks was a challenge seeing as how I was obsessed with every. single. piece. she debuted. Let's talk about the shorts in the first look, shall we? Chevron and royal blue together in one piece? Paired with those chic strappy wedges? I've died and gone to sartorial heaven.

I've been eyeing crop tops for a while but haven't had the guts to wear one... until I eyed Rebecca's printed sweetheart version. I vow to do extra crunches this winter so that I can rock it as well as the model above.

The third look has to be my favorite. I can't wait to embrace my inner bohemian princess with this stunning layered dress.

Join me in the contest by visiting Bloglovin' here! Not a blogger? No worries, you can still get in on the fun by entering to win $500 to spend on RM goodies here.
