Let's get real for a moment. Like real real. Are you good to your skin? Do you understand the importance of having a good skincare regimen? If the answer is no, don't worry. Up until recently, my skincare routine consisted of face wash from CVS, whatever moisturizer I grabbed during my early morning fog, and the occasional anti-aging serum at night. I was always blessed with fairly well-behaved skin and good genes so I never took skincare that seriously. But as I creep closer to 30, I've started to notice my skin acting up a bit (what is UP with hormonal acne at 29 years old?!) I started researching different lines and became frustrated with all the info out there. Not to mention how do you know what reviews to trust and who to completely ignore?

In the midst of my confusion, my friend Lydia reached out to me to see if I would be interested in trying skincare from her company, Arbonne. 100% vegan and gluten free? All-natural and derived from plants? Sounded too good to be true. But I was desperate for some change and figured I'd give it a shot.

Fast forward six weeks and I am acne free and my skin has never looked or felt better. And I'm not just saying that. The RE9 line from Arbonne is a complete anti-aging skincare set that not only feels good going on, but actually works. I even had my friends test it out just to be sure. Thank you to Elena & Emma for being my guinea pigs!

We sipped on some specialty cocktails (created using this pomegranate fizz, water, and vodka, topped with some pineapple orange juice... YUM!) and tested out the products. The feedback was great and both left excited to continue using the line knowing that they were taking the right steps to preserve their youthful skin and prevent future damage.

Off Duty

There's something about the color yellow that just screams "spring". I wore this outfit last weekend while my mom and sister were in town from New York. We wandered the streets of Back Bay, had a nice little lunch and did some shopping. The denim-on-denim look is something you can usually find me bumming around in when I'm outside of the office. Chic but comfy! What's your weekend uniform?

Yay for warmer weather and the ability to FINALLY wear the skirt that's been sitting in my closet for months now. I love that the black and white trend is still big right now because it's been my go-to color combo for as long as I have been able to dress myself. The full skirt/crop top duo is flattering on so many different body types -- who said you need abs to rock it?

I'm baaaaack! Have you missed me? I've certainly missed you. After a long and brutal winter, I'm finally back to posting. If you follow me on Twitter, you already know that I recently transitioned into a new position at Rue La La. For those of you who don't know, I'm now the Assistant Fashion Editor for Men's and Travel and it's been incredibly fun, hectic and so much more my cup of tea. While my new position has been so much for fulfilling, a piece of me was still missing when I wasn't sharing my favorite outfits every few days.

So anyways -- onto the outfit. I thought this was fitting to post today considering it's Marathon Monday. And while I'll be spending the day at my desk, my heart will be on Boylston Street with all the runners, survivors, fans and First Responders. The past year has proven that we are all Boston Strong and I couldn't be more proud to call this city (and Back Bay specifically) my home.
