Around Boston: Be Styled Blow Dry Bar

Let me set the scene for you: It was a warm Saturday morning. I stumbled into Be Styled Blow Dry Bar after a girls outing the night before. A fairly tame girls night, I might add, but still... I was not looking my best. I knew I was in good hands though, as soon as I walked in the door. The immaculately decorated space in Chestnut Hill was both welcoming and stylish; and everyone was SO friendly and accommodating. Instead of a typical chair-facing-mirror setup, you face one of the large TVs built into the wall. Watching a playful romantic comedy while sipping on a mimosa? Now that's my idea of a good Saturday morning. (I would have finished my mimosa had I not sworn off Prosecco a few hours before my appointment... so luckily they also had fresh juices, cappuccino, coffee and water to choose from.) I went with the "Be Soft" style from their blow dry menu. My stylist Jen gave me bouncy, voluminous curls. It's funny how a fabulous hairstyle can breathe new life into you. OK, I'm sure the nice little head massage had a little something to do with that too.

I got so many compliments on my hair that day and night. I even managed to make my blow dry last a few extra days by spraying a little dry shampoo at my roots and re-volumizing with my finger tips.
